On This Day
This tool checks any date you pick against our own weather station's genuine all-time records — not average or made-up figures, but the actual highest, lowest and most extreme readings this station has recorded since it started, each with the exact date it happened. Most days won't match anything (there are only a handful of all-time records spread across 365 days), but every date does get the record temperature range for its calendar month.
Monthly Record High & Low Temperatures
The all-time record high and low temperature recorded in each calendar month, all years combined, worked out from this station's full daily archive. The month containing your selected date is highlighted. Hover a bar for the exact date it was set — on the rare month where our daily archive doesn't cover enough years to be sure, that bar shows the record value with no exact date attached instead of a guess.

Where This Data Comes From
The full list of all-time records above is read live from this station's own running records file — the same source our All-Time Records and Highs, Lows and Averages pages use — so as new records are set, this page updates automatically along with them. The monthly high/low chart's exact dates come from a different source: this station's day-by-day archive (the same data our Temperature Detail report reads), scanned across every available year to find the true record for each calendar month, refreshed daily.
